Venus is identical to Earth in size.
It is also the planet that gets closest to us, and orbits the Sun in the lane just inside Earth, closer to the Sun.This photograph was imaged using radar. This is what the surface of Venus looks like, but this is not what Venus looks like from space, because of its very thick clouds. Those same clouds trap heat from the Sun, rain sulfur and scientists say the temperatures during the day and night are between 600-900 degrees Farenheit. Venus would be a very harsh place for life as we know it. The dark triangular shape at the bottom is the radar imager's missing data.
